The CB 2008 has evolved out of recent technological advancements in manufacturing. Those advancements enabled the Miura family to integrate a forged face and neck with a SUS composite pocket cavity resulting in a mid sized masterpiece. A low center of gravity delivers shots with a high stable trajectory and a feel and performance which has long been the DNA of Miura forged irons.

MG COLLECTION CB 2008

Miura Golfs most forgiving cavity back iron the CB-2008 combines performance and function.  Forged from a single billet of soft carbon steel, the mid-sized head is the first composite body iron produced as part of the MG Collection. Technological advancements have enabled the Miura factory to integrate a forged face (4mm thick) and neck with a SUS composite pocket cavity back. The result is an iron that delivers a performance and feel that is first of its kind.

Important in this process was the evolution of the sweet spot power bridge. Found in the 5 thru 8 irons, the unique design allows the pocket cavity model to perform consistently through the set, while not compromising on the renowned Miura feel. The 9 iron and PW are one pieced forged, as the need for maximum forgiveness isn’t as necessary in the precision irons.  The CB 2008 boasts a deeper center of gravity along with the widest sole Miura has ever produced.  This level of forgiveness appeals to golfers of all skill levels.

The Story

1957

The Miura story is one of family, passion, and precision. It’s one focused on the power of touch and a belief in meticulous attention to detail. It’s one grounded by an unwavering commitment to the pursuit of perfection.

It begins in Himeiji, Japan, with the art and discipline of samurai and ends with the finest hand-crafted golf clubs known to man. Our founder, Katsuhiro Miura, set out to make something elegant and refined, to create something beautiful, with the highest degree of integrity, something that isn’t done in the golf industry.

His patience and unique forging process ensures the grain of the steel is fine and uniformed, leading to a feel unlike anything else. The Miura feel. Every club is hand-crafted, one-by-one, and touched by Miura-San or one of his two sons, Shinei and Yoshitaka.

Pursuit of Perfection

Miura has been making the world’s finest forged golf clubs since 1957. Designed and constructed by master craftsman Katsuhiro Miura, each club is individually made using Miura’s patented forging process. To this day, Miura-san continues to work in the factory with his sons, Shinei and Yoshitaka, who proudly carry on the Miura legacy.

Principles of Design

In the pursuit to create the perfect iron, Miura-san recognized it was necessary to set a brand new standard of design. Using his quest for perfection as a tool for reinvention, Miura-san implemented distinct principles that after 40 years, still lead the design process today.
